Trauma Informed Care Training for Natural Resource Partners
This training was created through the collective wisdom of a coalition of land & water stewards, Trauma Informed experts, social service providers and community members, dedicated to using Trauma Informed Care as a tool build an awareness of trauma in our workplaces and outdoor spaces
These modules are intended for anyone that works in the environmental sector, from watershed council restoration managers to administrators at environmental non-profits, and for anyone who is looking for tools to better engage with unhoused people in the outdoors from park rangers, to landscapers.

Learning modules come with a workbook and videos to accompany the slides

What Is Trauma Informed Care?
Houseless in Natural Areas Peer Support Sessions
Third Thursday of the month from 1:30pm-3:00pm via Zoom
Sessions are FREE and open to anyone that works in fields where work is happening in natural areas and where staff and workers are encountering houseless community members and are needing support in navigating challenges. Support sessions are for front-line staff, managers, supervisors, administrations, leadership and volunteers in community organizations, CBOs and government agencies. This is an opportunity to network, learn best practices, get support from peers and receive training.
Topic Examples: Resource sharing, advocacy, verbal de-escalation, origins of homelessness, and best practices
